In addition to directing Vocal Alchemy (now in his fifth season), he is working with the Edmonton Youth Choir as conductor for the 2011-2012 season, and directs music at Trinity Lutheran Church, where he conducts choirs in English and German. He has been the choral instructor at Concordia High School for the past two years, and also teaches piano and music theory privately.

His conducting teachers have included Timothy Shantz and Debra Cairns; he has also been coached by Julia Davids, Robert Sund, Ivars Taurins, Jon Washburn and Simon Carrington.

Jordan recently participated as Conducting Fellow with the Canadian Chamber Choir for a tour in Alberta, and has also recently conducted both the Vancouver Chamber Choir and the Norfolk (CT) Festival Chamber Choir in concert. He has produced a series of Bach Project concerts in Edmonton featuring sacred music for chamber choir, and has produced two projects with the Illuminations Choir for Edmonton’s Winter Light festival. In Spring of 2011 he conducted and co-produced a professional chamber choir project in Victoria BC called Victoria May Sing.

Jordan has served as assistant conductor to both Edmonton’s Da Camera Singers and the University of Alberta Concert Choir, and has sung in many notable ensembles including the National Youth Choir. Time permitting, he sings with professional-level ensembles and has been a core singer with Pro Coro Canada for a number of seasons.

As an educator, he has taught people of all ages in a variety of contexts, conducted many youth, adult and church choirs, and has instructed in music institutionally at secondary and post-secondary levels. He is sought after as a clinician for workshops with choirs of all kinds.
