What members are saying

We recently completed a survey finishing this sentence: ” I enjoy singing with Vocal Alchemy because…”

“…the music is challenging and beautiful and exciting to learn and perform.”

“…it allows me to be a part of something beautiful, and the benefits are amazing right down to the conductor.”

“…It’s a happy and well organized group…we make a good sound together!”

“..there’s something magical about the way a chord created by a large group of musicians can travel through the human body…”

“…it’s challenging, relaxing and fun!!”

“…Vocal Alchemy is a “spine shivering” chorus in which to sing. A few of the orchestras and choirs I have performed in had this same effect when the performers, music, and director just seemed to melt into beautiful sound and give one goosebumps!”

“…it is a diverse and dynamic group of people who love to sing. The music is enjoyable and challenging, and it feels great to work together in such a unique community with strong leadership to create an awesome sound!”

Interested in joining us? We accept new members of the choir periodically throughout the year. We can only get so big, though, so please let us know of your interest in joining us ASAP by email or through the form below.

We rehearse Tuesday nights at St. Andrew’s United Church in the west end of Edmonton, September through May. We have no formal audition.  The time commitment is a little greater around concert time with extra rehearsals, and about one Saturday a month we’ll either have a full choir rehearsal, small sectional rehearsal or other event. We work hard to achieve a great choral sound on a variety of repertoire with a large group of mixed levels of ability and experience, and try to provide a challenging, yet fun, experience for everyone.
