Stuart Beatch Administrator

Stuart Beatch is an Edmonton-based choral composer, educator, and administrator. He is currently the Program Coordinator at Choir Alberta, involved in planning and delivering programs for choirs and singers across the province. Stuart is also the composer-in-residence for The Fourth Choir (an LGBT chamber choir in London, UK), and recently completed graduate studies at King’s College London under Rob Keeley, having previously studied composition at the University of Alberta and music education at the University of Regina. While Stuart has a special affinity for the Alberta choral community, his music has frequently been performed by ensembles across North America and the UK, including Pro Coro Canada, Chronos Vocal Ensemble, National Youth Choir of Canada, BBC Singers, Elysian Singers, musica intima, Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, and Choral Arts Initiative.

This summer, Vocal Alchemy will bid farewell to Stuart, who has worked as Vocal Alchemy’s Administrator since 2019. He has been an integral part of the Vocal Alchemy community, providing crucial support in helping to sustain our organization and choir, particularly over the past two years during the pandemic.
