Kim Cousineau, Principal Accompanist

Kim received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Victoria and studied privately with Anna Cal, student of Russian pianist Pavel Egorov. He has been involved with numerous operatic and musical theater productions, including "Carmen", "Hansel & Gretel" and the world premieres of "Mary’s Wedding" and "Rattenbury" (Pacific Opera Victoria), "Candide" and "La Voix Humaine" (Opera Nuova), "Bernarda Alba" and "The Light in the Piazza" (MacEwan Theatre), "The Last Resort" (Mayfield Dinner Theatre), and "Urinetown" (Concordia University of Edmonton).

Kim was a staff pianist and coach with Vancouver Island summer music programs “In The Key of Glee” and “A Voce Sola” and with Singspiration in Edmonton. He is in high demand as a choral accompanist in the Edmonton area, working with many groups including Concordia Concert Choir, Da Camera Singers, Vocal Alchemy, Joyful Noise, and Chronos Vocal Ensemble. In 2012, he was the recipient of the BC Choral Federation’s Joyce O. Maguire Award for outstanding long-term service as a choral accompanist. Kim maintains a busy schedule as a collaborative pianist and coach in the Edmonton area.

Nathan Bootsma, Choral Assistant

Nathan is a dynamic performer who brings passion and professionalism to every stage.

As an accomplished vocalist, Nathan is known for his expressive tone and versatility across various musical genres. He regularly performs with Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton's professional choir, and has been a member of the Alberta Youth Choir, the National Youth Choir of Canada, and Chronos Vocal Ensemble.

Nathan serves as the Music Director at the Christian Reformed Church of St. Albert, where he helps create an uplifting spiritual atmosphere through musical excellence. He is also the Assistant Conductor of Ante Meridiem, and previously spent four years as the Director of Etown Augmented.

Dedicated to enriching lives through music, Nathan nurtures singers of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels with a collaborative approach that emphasizes fun and artistic growth.

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from The King’s University.
