Change is the only constant, said the philosopher. Bringing disruption and pain at times, change also brings renewal and possibility. These aspects are explored in Awakened, featuring music by composers from Giuseppe Verdi and Stephen Chatman to Billy Joel and Pete Seeger.
The program includes Canadian composers Katerina Gimon, David Archer, Stephen Chatman, Alex Eddington, Kathleen Allan and Oscar Peterson.
We'll present the Edmonton premiere of Joy Never Leaves by Christopher Harris, which the choir helped bring to life through a consortium-commission project during the height of the pandemic.
